The Rhode Island B.A.S.S. Chapter Federation is one of the 46 affiliated states belonging to the B.A.S.S. National Federation Program sponsored by B.A.S.S. (Bass Anglers Sportsman Society). Each State Federation is made up of individual chapters or "Clubs". Each club sets its own membership requirements and yearly agendas which includes fishing, youth program and community involvement in environmental issues. All B.A.S.S. clubs practice Catch and Release and teach hundreds of youths annually how to safely handle and release fish they catch. The Federation program provides a united voice on issues affecting the future of fishing and the preservation of our natural resources. R.I. B.A.S.S. Chapter Federation members also participate in a format of state, regional, and national competition that allows five Federation members to compete in the Bassmasters Classic each year.
Our mission is to promote the sport of bass fishing in accordance with the goals and purpose of our parent organization known as the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society (B.A.S.S.). Additionally , and without bias, we will always put our members first with regards to decisions made by its Board of Directors and will champion the causes and promote the advocacy of Youth and Conservation.
